Cost Engineer for Mechanical Components (m/f/d)

For our location in Bolzano we are looking for a Cost Engineer for Mechanical Components (m/f/d).
YOUR RESPONSABILITIES
- Develop and maintain accurate cost models that encompass materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs, while also providing precise cost estimates for new designs and engineering changes.
- Analyze product cost structures to identify key drivers and trends, and develop strategies aimed at cost reduction.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to negotiate favorable supplier terms and evaluate quotes for competitiveness.
- Facilitate value engineering workshops to encourage innovative and cost-effective design alternatives.
- Train and mentor teams on cost modeling techniques, cultivating a culture of cost awareness within the organization.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in English
- 3 to 5 years of experience in product development, focusing on cost and value engineering.
- Proficient in deploying cost engineering strategies effectively and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to structure and solve complex problems.
- Proficiency in project management methods
- Strong leadership skills to drive change and effectively challenge the organization.
