[Big] Data Engineer (f/m/d)

What awaits you

• Design and maintain data pipelines and the data lake for our hydrogen systems.
• Be responsible for delivering sensor data from our global unit base to the cloud.
• Create efficient and performant data pipelines for high-frequency data.
• Ensure scalable database architecture, data quality, and consistency.
• Support for the development of new data-driven business models.
• Modulating the systems according to customer requirements

What we expect

• Successful completion of studies in computer science, informatics, or related field.
• Proficiency in software development.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL, such as PostgreSQL.
• Good knowledge of Python.
• Basic understanding of time series databases (e. g. TimeScaleDB, ksqlDB).
• Bonus: exposure to stream processing tools like KSQL, Spark, and Flink.
• Optional: familiarity with Apache Kafka and Azure.
• Good understanding of business processes including interface design.
• Team player with analytical thinking and an understanding of complex interrelationships. Personal responsibility, active introduction of new ideas incl. independent implementation is important to you.
