EMC Project Engineer (m/f/d)

For our office in Bolzano we are looking for a EMC Project Engineer (m/f/d).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Address the project needs and implement the EMC concept, supported by preliminary calculations and best practices
• Verify the EMC concept implementation through internal coordination with other R&D departments and design reviews
• Analyse the EMC standard to define EMC requirements at project level (system or sub-system)
• Perform preliminary calculation of the EMC behaviour with simple circuital model using Ansys Circuit Designer
• Design the EMI filters (for HV and LV), including component selection/schematic
• Perform and coordinate the debug phase activities
• Verify the correct execution of the EMC validation (setup and results) assisting the test phases
• Prepare EMC related project documentation (e.g. debug test report, compliance matrix coverage)
• Improve the design according to requirements and costs
• Follow and support the change request processes

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Degree in electrical or electronics engineering
• Ability to read and understand electronic circuit diagrams and layouts
• Knowledge of the EMC standard
• Strong experience in EMC filter design for power electronics application, including HW, PCB layout and mechanical parts
• Strong experience in EMC debug test methodologies and workflow
• Good skills in handling EMC measurement equipment (VNA, LCR meter, EMI receiver, LISN and Antennas)
• Good experience with Circuital EMC simulations (knowledge of Ansys Circuit Designer is a plus) and basic experience with EMC simulation methodology and tools (frequency, transient, 2.5D, 3D, SIwave, HFSS)
• Ability to think at a system level, to understand the links between EMC results (simulation and test), product design and setup
• Professional experience in a similar position is a plus
• Self-reliant, meticolous work-style and analytical mindset
• Fluent English, Italian and/or German knowledge is an advantage
